Rafael Bordallo Pinheiro museum

Monographic and biographical museum, dedicated to the life and work of Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro (1846-1905), an important figure in cultural, artistic and political Portuguese in the second half of the nineteenth century. Work with a very diverse field of visual arts, especially in the graphics and pottery, excel as a cartoonist, played a decisive role as critic of the society of his time.
The museum’s collection includes the most comprehensive collection of ceramics bordaliana as well as an extensive exhibition of paintings, drawings and original publications.
