When Pope Sixtus IV gave to the people of Rome some bronze statues(the She-Wolf, the Spinarius, the Camillus and the colossal head of Constantine, with hand and globe) in 1471 created the Musei Capitolini’s nucleus. The museum is enclosed in three palazzi around a central trapezoidal piazza. We can find ancient Roman statues, a collection of medieval and Renaissance art; and collections of jewels, coins, and other objects.
