The Seoul Museum of Art, calligraphy was opened in 1988, includes 10 galleries of art of calligraphy. It is the only place in the world dedicated exclusively to calligraphy.
It is located in the Seoul Arts Center, an arts complex, which includes several theaters and museums (Opera Theater, Theater Towol, Jayu Theater, Concert Hall, Recital Hall, Seoul Calligraphy Art Museum, Art Museum and Hangaram Hangaram Design Museum) and is visited by about 2 million people each year.
